sometimes we forget to appreciate life for what it really is: a screwed up, topsy-turvy cycle of events that may or may not mean anything. life is not about the destination for all our lives end the same way--in death--but life is about the journey. i've not been around for long, but in my sixteen years, i've learned that appreciating the small things is the only way to find consistent happiness.

we all know life sucks at times. it's what we make of it that counts.

i am happy for the moment. it's 1:52 PM as i'm writing this. the girl i'm suppose to be teaching hasn't shown up and has forgotten to tell me that she wouldn't be coming today. the lack of responsibility on the part of her guardians irks me, but i've looked past that.

the afternoon is mine.

there's sunshine streaming in through the half-open blinds, and it's warm out for november. i walked outside in short sleeves earlier today. went shopping with my mother earlier. didn't buy much, but it nice to be somewhere other than my room or school.

not that i don't like school. school is amazing because of the people you meet, and subsequently the people you become addicted to.

everything is generally looking up, and now i'm typing without looking at the screen because there's a bird sitting outside my window. nice weather, indeed.

i'm in the mood for art.

it's been quite a long time since my last book (dark river), but i got pulled back into the 'warriors' frenzy by my friends. yep, that's right, the cute little kitty cats who run around dark forests and live in clans. erin hunter ftw. i'm picking up the series again, and i'm currently reading outcast. haha, yeah laugh at me.

anyway, a couple friends of mine are opening a more traditional warriors roleplay. it's still in the final stages of work, but i was curious if any of my watchers are interested in warriors/that type of thing.
